Open letter to M.E. and E., at the beginning of a new decade...

When one completes another decade, I mean, when, as in your case, another ten years of having your feet on this planet have passed, or better yet, for many obvious reasons, when it comes to celebrating thirty years of life, as in this case, a new decade immediately begins, and the passage of time begins to show signs of going much faster.

The natural and inevitable events of life make time pass, at least in the realm of our senses, so unnoticed and quickly that today is yesterday, and the future is placed face to face with us, within reach of a sigh, in the same time it takes to feel a light breeze in front of the sea. 

Time, and the life that passes with it, is like a dock for sailors in transit; a bridge extending over the ocean that leads to other lands and other journeys, to other challenges and trials, to other experiences that will, in some way, leave their bundle of lessons, confirming constant change. 

Although basically out of time, as usually happens to me, and a few hours after the date that marked the completion of the cycle, I celebrate with you the beginning of this new decade in your lives.

I celebrate and share it with the happiness of someone who loves you and is proud of who you are, from the strange phenomenon of missing you without knowing that I miss you, from the concrete reality of distance, because I think and imagine for you all the best that this journey can offer you, and my commitment to fight for you to find the future paths open in the reality of this fleeting present.

And above all, at the end of each stage of life, let us not put a full stop like at the end of a sentence, but three dots from the perspective, and the positive question mark, of continuity...
